SPEECH AND LANGUAGE THERAPY FOR ADULTS

Adults can experience a range of mild to severe speech, language and communication difficulties.

These issues can impact significantly on relationships, friendships and operating in the world as you used to, or on your sense of Self and confidence in communication.

Please contact me for a chat or on behalf of your partner if you are in a relationship with someone who has speech, language and communication difficulties such as stroke or aphasia. With their permission, I will do my best to help you navigate a way forward to communicate more effectively with one another, the wider Community and to also acknowledge some of the delicate issues around loss and grief in relation to skills lost and sense of Self. I will serve to be your best advocate for communication.

I can offer Speech and Language Therapy to adults who have voice difficulties, experienced stroke, have aphasia, and who have degenerative disease such as dementia, or neurological conditions such as Multiple Sclerosis.

If you have a stammer or dysfluency, please get in touch.

I can advise you on swallowing/ eating and drinking difficulties. If you have a particularly difficult issue with swallowing, I may refer you to someone I know who is more skilled and experienced in dysphagia (swallowing difficulties).
